Comprehensive Assessment Approach
PPP’s pitching assessment process utilizes a Comprehensive Assessment Approach that we’ve developed over many years of training players to reach their full potential. It involves assessments in every area that influences a pitcher’s performance: mobility, biomechanics, pitch quality and weight room performance.
This process can be done online or at our state-of-the-art lab at HQ. All of our training programs start with a detailed comprehensive assessment, and you can also come to PPP just for the assessment to see what to focus on in your training. It is the same assessment process that multiple Power 5 schools and professional organizations trust our staff to perform on campus for their players.
What we assess
Our performance staff analyzes active and passive ranges of motion of every joint in the body.
Our staff uses a state-of-the-art 8-camera motion capture system to evaluate your pitching mechanics.
Our staff captures ball flight data to learn how a pitcher can improve his arsenal and plan of attack.
Our staff measures performance metrics we correlate with delivery efficiency and velocity.
Why assess
There are many great facilities to train at around the country. However, there are few places to go that have the same access to professional player development tools like PPP HQ. As of 2024, MLB teams and only 6 universities are utilizing the same technology that is available to you at PPP.
