Our Training & Coaching Team

Cody Fick, Director of Pitching

Cody serves as the Director of Pitching and Business Manager for Premier Pitching. Following a 6-year coaching stint at the University of Evansville, Cody joined the Premier Pitching team in the summer of 2018.

He has the privilege of aiding athletes of all ages to execute their individualized plans for development while also helping guide various Premier Pitching business initiatives.
Cody played collegiately at Jefferson College and the University of Evansville where he received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.

Josh Kesel, Performance Director

Josh Kesel serves as the Performance Director of Premier Pitching and Performance. Josh has helped shape Premier Pitching into one of the most successful and trusted destinations for pitchers in the country. Since Premier Pitching opened in 2014, Josh has worked with players from every MLB organization including over 100 MiLB and MLB athletes. He has also worked with hundreds of athletes from over 100 colleges and universities. In 2019, he helped orchestrate the creation of the Premier Pitching Collegiate Partnership Program which includes UNC-Charlotte, Missouri State and Notre Dame. When not at Premier Pitching, Josh loves hanging out with his 3 children

 

Ryan Helms, Youth & HS Program Director

Ryan serves as the Youth & HS Program Director for Premier Pitching. With over 15 years of experience as a strength and conditioning specialist, Ryan has the privilege of training and teaching our youth baseball players the foundations of performance training and how to be better athletes. Ryan pitched at both Oakland University and Indiana Wesleyan University.

Ryan holds a master’s degree in Human Movement and Sports Conditioning, and a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Wellness. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Jason Immekus, Head Throwing Trainer / Partnership Liaison

Jason serves as the company’s sales manager while sharing his experiences with players while coaching on the training floor. Jason has 19 yrs of college coaching experience, working with pitchers, catchers, game planning and college recruiting. Jason also currently serves as an Associate Scout for the St. Louis Cardinals.

During his coaching career Jason has also made stops coaching summer baseball in the Northwoods and Coastal Plain leagues. Jason is responsible for player recruitment, player acquisition, and designing throwing programs for players inside of Premier Pitching HQ and our Remote clients.

 Jason has coached many players that have signed to play professionally. Jason aims to help connect the dots from data to pitching development resulting to in game success for the players he comes into contact with through Premier Pitching.

Noah Junis, Assistant Director of Pitching

Noah serves as a throwing trainer at Premier Pitching HQ with a passion for applying data to player development. Helping his brother (Jakob Junis, SF Giants) in his career development is what motivated him to get into coaching.  

Noah got his first on field experience at a junior college spending a year and a half as a volunteer pitching coach at Illinois Central College before transitioning to the private sector. He was a Throwing Trainer and the Director of Pitching at Push Performance in Tempe, Arizona where he got experience working with athletes of all levels including multiple (15+) big leaguers. 

Along with helping athletes on the floor and writing individualized programming, Noah is committed to pushing the processes at PPP forward and providing athletes with the best possible technology and information to achieve their goals. 

Dalton Schumer, Performance Trainer

 Dalton was born and raised in St. Louis, and joined the Staff in 2021. He has a background in sports medicine rehabilitation, is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and has also been certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). Dalton’s passion is  enabling all athletes to achieve their athletic potential with thorough assessment and individualized training strategies.
